Accompanying person
Disabled persons whose disability requires an accompanying person (as stated on their disability card) only need a ticket for themselves – not for their accompanying person.
As there is no standardized disability ID across Europe and we are unfortunately unable to reliably verify the wide range of national documents, we kindly ask you to provide a short medical certificate in addition to your disability ID for requests from abroad.
The certificate does not need to include a diagnosis. It simply needs to confirm:
- that you require a companion,
- that the certificate is current (generally not older than 12 months),
- and that it is written in German or English.
